Guidelines
I have to say, there is one thing about fashion photography that I dislike. I do not think there needs to be such guidelines to the way “professional” Fashion photography needs to be. I feel when I’m shooting for certain designers things are very limited and have too many rules. No shadows, evenly lit, no flyaway hairs, etc. I understand that if you want your image to look like every other magazine you might want to stick to those rules, but why? I love when things come out ” Incorrect ” I feel that the small details create a mood that’s unique. This was a headshot that would be considered unusable, but I love it! What are your thoughts on this subject!?
I’m with you on this one, Aaron. Conformity kills creativity, and I love seeing new perspectives, especially since Fashion is a medium that should allow for so much style and individuality to shine through. Don’t lose your voice 🙂
I love her eyes…they tell a beautifully deep story.
Exactly! I agree with you on that one. I don’t think it’s about perfection, but making a perfect photos that tells a story or product. It’s all about the eyes and personality shining through.
