Challenging
When I was 19 I worked at a baby portrait studio, it was one of the hardest jobs I’ve ever done. Babies are very tricky to photograph, mostly because well, they don’t take direction very well, and it’s hard to play peek-a-boo when you’re looking through a lens. The other tricky part is the classic 1.2.3 cheese doesn’t help at all so you have to swirl sticks around and make crazy noises instead. One of the best stages is when the child is too small to move much, but has enough strength to hold up their head. It’s always funny when the baby starts to get tired, you can tell because the neck muscles start to weaken and their little face usually bobs down until they are face first into their blanket. Aways a crack up to watch that take place 🙂
